.We are, as I write this heading down the runway on Flight 117 from LAX to Las Vegas' McCarran Airport. I am still not so accustomed to flying that I can be blase about it...
We're up!
Damn. That makes my stomach churn!
One advantage of taking off at night. there was a beautiful view of L.A. out the window. At least until we turned. I could see it pretty well, even though I'm in the middle seat.
The last several days have been very hectic, with shopping, packing, cleaning, and errands all squeezed in between work. Jim even had to show property today. He's already asleep next to me, as he's had even less sleep than I have had the last few days. Especially last night. Between getting my pedicure, getting my bird, Louie to Rowena's friendly ghost, Cindy, getting packed, and coloring my hair, I only got a couple of hours. I don't know how I made it through the day at work. I'm amazed Jim jas managed so well. Fatigue is showing a bit, though, and in a very bad way. We both left our jackets at Jim's brothers house, and Jim gorgot to get his cane out of our car. At some point we will have to purchase replacements for those. He, at least, still has his London Fog.
I moblogged ( http://moblog.co.uk/view.php?id=257502 ) and LJ'd from the airport. While there, we got some ridiculously expensive burritos for dinner. I guess I should get used to those prices. At least Starbucks was pretty much the same price, but then, they are overpriced to begin with.
we will have a one-hour layover in Las Vegas and once we are on our flight to New York, I will be able to get some sleep. For now I'll get a head start on the first of four books I brought with me.
